I Have Learned Some Things

Hello Quilters!  Over the years I have learned some things. Some good and helpful!  Some not so good and hurtful! Thankful to say more good than not so good. So today, I am going to focus only on the good. Since this is a quilting blog, it will be “ALL ABOUT QUILTING:) Remember : Did You Know?  (Refer to the Baby Quilt article if you don’t know about this).

I.  The Quilt Making process can be compared to a Baby. You don’t start out smart AND big, you learn as you grow! So depend on others (mentors) to help you grow into smart quilters…IE…. less reverse sewing.  Also, start out smaller, not BIG  , so you don’t get discouraged.

Remember my favorite saying in quilting, Finish what you start!  FINISHED IS BETTER THAN PERFECT!  If you are already “grown up“, also, remember my favorite saying above!  This is so that you can mentor the younger ones without them getting discouraged.

I am going to start a “mystery quilt” in my next article, so stay alert, and if you haven’t already, please subscribe to my blog to get an email when I publish a new article.

Mystery Quilt Coming Next! IMG_4714

This is just a hint!! This is all you get to see until the mystery quilt is finished! Watch for the next post :).  If you ever have a question that you don’t want everyone in the world to know, you can email me at  janecanquilt62842@gmail.com . If you want everyone to know, please leave a comment at the end of the article, (just nice words, please :) ). Love You, Jane!

Did You Know? That in God’s word, the Jews believed that every individual that was part of the family of God had a “personal angel” to look after his general welfare according to the purpose of God. This included every child, whose name is automatically written in the Book of Life from birth to the age of accountability.  More references – (quoted elsewhere in the Bible – Mt. 4:6);  Mt. 18:10;  Hebrews 1:14.

My Bible quote for this post: Psalm 91:11-12                                                                                                           11. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.                                                  12. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
